“We are proud to receive the national recognition,” said Superintendent Christy Perry. “Salem-Keizer educators across the board have embraced our student-centered ideals and continue to explore the various ways we can better prepare our students for life after graduation.”

According to the Portland Business Journal, school rankings are based on statistics from the U.S. Department of Education, along with millions of reviews from students and parents. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates and the quality of each school’s teachers.
